The Italian Job Cafe, the fifth restaurant to be opened by the hands-on duo Alison and Fabrizio Iannucci, made its debut 27th December 2009. Alison and Fabrizio fell in love with the Oxnard beaches and Harbor after they were evacuated from the Malibu fires a couple of years ago. Since then, they had been looking for a restaurant location in the area when they settled finally on the Harbor landing location.

Fabrizio, the chef, and a graduate of the Culinary Art Institute of Italy, dedicates himself to the menu and daily specials. Alison, with a passion for photography, and an M.A. from Brown, works the front of the house. They both enjoy working on the evolving wine list. Their previous four restaurants, Il Piccolo and Pizzico in Rhode Island, Pizzicotto in Brentwood, and Alloro in Paso Robles, all received the Award of Excellence from the wine spectator.

The 1969 original Italian Job is a cult English movie starring Michael Caine. The name the Italian Job Cafe is a play on words and sums up the partnership: Alison is from England, and Fabrizio, from Sardinia, is the Italian side of the job. The Italian Job cafe, located appropriately across from Hollywood Beach, is a casual dining destination fun for the whole family.
